Recently I have been concentrating on a series of birds for
which I was applying for an artist’s grant. As always, I like making images
that evoke a historical quality. I thought initially, that I would do them in a
straight Audubon style but it just wasn’t enough. I needed for the birds to
escape into a world of my own imagination.
