Matilda, a recent portrait that I have completed is a good example of what our cat sessions are like. I consult with my clients about their wishes and expectations for their final portrait and do my best to achieve their desired result.
Sometimes, what we want our subject to do and what they want to do are 2 different things. We have them posed just so, and they are having no part of it. Contrary to popular belief, not all of my subjects sit still and behave 100% of the time. It can be chaotic at times, but it only adds to the back story and lore of how the final portrait was made.
Even though this the hardest part of the process, it is the most rewarding. As you can see with the final result, it was well worth the challenge.
